My health journey in my teenage years lead me to 2 chiropractic mentors Drs, Schirru and Schendelenberg, who taught me so much about my own health that I was inspired to become a chiropractor to help care for others. I feel so privileged to have personally been able to see how chiropractic may help different people, of all ages, with many different health problems. My passion is in treating families and children, to help people achieve their full health potential, and to create healthy communities.
During school, and since graduation, I have committed to ongoing study of chiropractic techniques, and methods, including:
- Basic, Advanced and Craniopath certification from SOT Australiasia in Sacrooccipital technique
- Webster Certification
- Part one Diplomate in Pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Peadiatric Association
- 200 hour Diplomate in Chiropractic Neuro-Developmental Peadiatrics
I have also had the pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors for SOTO Australasia since 2014 and am currently the Vice President. I am also a board member for theAICE Peadiatric Board since 2023.
I am here to be of service to the New England Community and to help people reach their optimal health potential, and to create stronger connections.
My chiropractic journey started as a kid; I was always full throttle with my sport and horses which meant a few mishaps here and there. After recieving care I learned what it was to feel well. From then on I have been fascinated with power of the human body and the role chiropractic plays in optimising its potential.
Being from the small town of Lightning Ridge, Sydney or Melbourne were a little too big to tackle so initially I undertook a bachelor degree in Human Movement Science majoring in Exercise Science at Southern Cross University. Half way through the degree I knew there was something else I needed to do, I meet an amazing chiropractor who mentored and encouraged me to pursue my passion to help people, I had to become a chiropractor. With the support of my now husband Tomas; five years later I graduated from Macquarie University Sydney with a Masters of Chiropractic.
In my final year of university I began learning about Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), a technique that I knew I needed to learn if I was to be a rural practitioner. It was during these seminars where I meet Dr Janine Kinahan, she was one of our amazing educators (serendipitous). Since joining the team at New England Chiropractic in February 2013 I have gained Basic and Advanced SOT certification.
I believe that it is a privilege to be a chiropractor; to help people discover their optimal health potential.
I come from a rural background with a love for horses, cattle and dogs.
I studied Chiropractic at RMIT in Melbourne, graduated 2011. I then went on to study animal chiropractic in the USA. After coming home I worked in Grafton and then in Tamworth practicing both human and animal chiropractic for the last 7 years.
I enjoy playing hockey and campdrafting what the opportunity arises.
My interest in health, healing, and the human body was sparked early when I studied a bachelor of behavioural science (psychology). After graduating I went on to do my yoga teacher training and have taught for the past 8 years. My introduction to chiropractic was working as a chiropractic assistant in 2016, after 6 months as an assistant I knew I needed to commit to the 5 years of study to become a chiropractor. Since graduating I have continued ongoing education in chiropractic techniques and methods, including:
- SOT
- Webster certification
- Thompson
- Elevate Paediatrics
I enjoy working with families and am especially passionate about working with children/adolescence. My area of expertise is in movement, chiropractic, and wellness philosophy and with these tools I’m here to help support health within the New England Community.
Hi, I’m Kate Lennon! I’m excited to be completing my final clinical placement at New England Chiropractic. I’m in my final year at the Australian Chiropractic College and will graduate at the end of this year. I also hold a Diploma of Health Science and a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration, and I’m also a certified yoga instructor.
I’m passionate about the impact of chiropractic care on overall health, especially how it influences the nervous system. Outside of work, I love yoga, hiking, crochet, playing piano, and spending time with family and friends. I also grew up on a farm and dream of having my own veggie patch one day.
I will be available for sessions from August to October 2024. Looking forward to meeting you and helping you achieve better health!
I started out as a client for an injury in 2011 and was amazed at the results, which lead to my job. I have now worked at NEC for almost 5 years and get regular coaching in all things chiropractic and am eager to learn even more.
The best thing about my job is seeing the positive difference chiropractic has made to so many client’s lifestyles and working with a great bunch of girls.
I enjoy a simple life and in my spare time you’ll find me outdoors with my family and playing sport. I enjoy volleyball, motorbike riding, kayaking and netball.
Knowing the overall health benefits of chiropractic my three beautiful kids and family members all receive regular chiropractic with great results.
Sometimes I’ll be at reception to greet you with a smile & other times working hard behind the scenes. I love getting to know our clients and have made some really good friends. I look forward to seeing our regular clients and their friendly faces.
I am excited to see our clinic grow and love being a part of this awesome team!
